“We're all just walking each other home.”

Ram Dass

Welcome

I am a licensed psychologist, providing teletherapy and in person sessions for adults in Portland, Oregon. Teletherapy sessions available for New Jersey and New York residents.

Traditional "talk" therapy is one way to address problems, but for some people it is not enough. Many people feel that while they have learned much about themselves, they still feel the same and struggle with the same problems.

I offer treatment that integrates various innovative, effective approaches; Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Internal Family Systems theory and Mindfulness practices that organically and successfully allow change to happen. I specialize in supporting clients to address childhood and developmental trauma, to build healthy relationships, and to alleviate anxiety and depression.

We will tailor these approaches to respond to you and your situation. Everyone has inner resources that can help them to heal. Working together, we will begin by understanding who you are, how your experiences in life have affected you and most importantly, how these experiences are remembered inside you. Providing a body-based foundation allows for a more meaningful process of internal growth and best supports our capacity for resiliency. This approach can lead to greater vitality and more permanent outcomes. We are using tools that are innovative yet clinically sound and safe. I believe that every individual possesses compassion, creativity, curiosity, and courage to bring about positive change in their life. I am here to support you in feeling comfortable bringing your true self to therapy.

Contact me to schedule a brief initial consultation at no charge. We can explore how I may be of help to you and answer any questions.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a model of psychotherapy that maintains we are all made up of sub-personalities or “parts” that sometimes work to our advantage and protect us from unbearable emotions, thoughts and memories, but at other times over-function...

Inner Relationship Focusing

Inner Relationship Focusing is a body-oriented process of self-awareness and emotional healing. It’s as simple as noticing how you feel–and then having a conversation with your feelings in which you do most of the listening.  Focusing starts with the familiar experience of...

EMDR

EMDR treatment works by helping the individual process distressing thoughts, feelings and memories that can reduce symptoms of trauma, improve functioning and improve one’s psychological state. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy...
